Risk Management for Mere Mortals is based on Claudia's new book Project Management for Mere Mortals. This publication, in its entirety, covers various Project Management topics from five different perspectives. It presents straight forward methodologies with easy tools, techniques, and processes from each perspective which project managers can apply to their projects.

This webinar will focus specifically on viewing your project from the Risk Management perspective. Claudia will present a methodology that is easy and effective in dealing with project risks. Her methodologies are easily modified to apply to any project.

Risk Management for Mere Mortals will also feature a section on teaming. It will spotlight the project pessimist and how they can help effectively identify and plan for project risks. Claudia offers valuable advice on effective communication to executives about project risks and how to avoid them.

Claudia M. Baca Bio:

Claudia Baca has been extremely active in the project management industry since 1984. Her project management experience has been primarily in the information technology, telecommunications, and e-commerce industries. During her career, Claudia has managed multiple mission critical projects for companies ranging from a major telecommunications company to an Internet start-up company. Most recently, Claudia was the vice-president of Consulting Services for a nationally known PM consulting firm.

Currently, Claudia is an independent consultant focusing on organizational project management consulting and training. She is also an experienced writer and technical editor. In March of 2005 she published the Project Management Spotlight on Change Management. Her first book for Addison Wesley is Project Management for Mere Mortals, published in 2007.
